Compare how the world’s biggest artists stack up.

It’s never been easier to become a pop star. Yet while the internet has helped aspiring artists break through, it also rendered stardom more ephemeral — and harder to measure.

Every month, Bloomberg News will publish a list of the 25 biggest pop stars in the world, as determined by these factors: Ticket sales, concert grosses, album sales, digital song sales, Instagram interactions and YouTube views.

About The Pop Star Power Ranking

This chart will run once a month and update as the latest information becomes available. All categories are monthly except grosses, which cover a trailing three months. Artists get a score between 0 and 100 in each category. The No. 1 person in the category gets 100, and everyone else’s score is relative to the top performer.
